Homeslessness
The El Salvadorean civil war is one of the reasons for homelessness. It devasted the economy. Natural disasters has contributed to the homeslessness. Also, because the people are not educated, they are not able to sustain financially stable jobs and afford necessary living conditions.
Although there are no statistics given, the majority of the people are not homeless. Even those who live in extreme poverty live in homes. They build their own houses by finding their own resources.
The government does not provide any services or help to the poor. It is the aid from volunteer groups that help the poor.
